Our best-selling carrier now available in a rich brown and cream woven checkerboard pattern. The fabric is a cotton/linen blend in a jacquard weave.

For most babies this means newborn to around 2 years old!

*baby must be AT LEAST 7lbs, and able to be worn safely with the face visible above the head panel. Always ensure baby's face is visible and kissable, and airways remain unobstructed.

Our fully adjustable shoulder and waist straps ensure you and baby can achieve the perfect fit at almost every size.

(Waistband extends up to 55" and is intended to be worn high on the natural waist.)

Is The Carrier Hip Safe

Yes! 

Our carrier is carefully designed with hip safety in mind.

It is important to remember that hip safety comes down to correct positioning in any carrier. It is essential to achieve a deep seat or “M” position, with baby’s knees higher than their bum, and weight supported primarily by the bum, rather than under the knees.

We always recommend consulting your pediatrician or specialist for recommendations specific to your child's needs! 

Check that your baby is in this deep seat position each time you place them in the carrier.

IS THE MONARCH FOUND ON THE IHDI HIP SAFE CARRIER LIST?

The IHDI Hip Safe Products approval department is, sadly, currently shut down and has been since before the release of the Monarch Carrier. Because of this, we have not had the opportunity to receive this acknowledgement.  However, our carrier is designed with the IHDI guidelines in mind, and we of course plan to apply if/when they are back to approving new products. 

The IHDI reccomends carriers that achieve the M position to ensure hip safety while babywearing. The Monarch Carrier is designed to support baby's weight in the M position, and is adjustable to help you acheive proper positioning for your baby's size. You can always consult with your pediatricion or specialist for advice on your individual child's needs.

Hand wash cold or machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle. A garment bag is recommended if machine washing to protect hardware finishings. Lay flat (open head support flap) in a well ventilated area and allow to dry fully.
